Q&A with Heather Marcom, Talent Acquisition Manager, for Freedom Financial Network
To what do you attribute your company’s success?
Our success is a result of an amazing team of dedicated employees at all levels. Everyone at Freedom Financial Network plays an important part.
From the Product and Technology teams who always work with our clients best interests, to the Debt Consultants who help potential clients see that a path to financial freedom is actually attainable, to the Customer Service Representatives who take great care of our clients for the duration of the program. There are so many different roles our teammates play, but each one is critical. We can’t succeed without them!
Why do you think Employer Branding is important?
Employer branding is critical to Freedom Financial Network’s ability to attract, hire and retain the very best talent in the market. We want to continue to evolve and grow, so we can best serve our growing customer base.
To remain in our position as the largest, most successful provider of debt relief programs in the U.S., Freedom must hire great talent and the employment branding is an important part of our ability to do so.
How would you describe your Employer Brand?
Freedom’s employer brand centers around our “heart and $” culture and our core values. We believe if you lead with the heart, the dollar will follow. Our core values ensure our teammates “care” for everyone, “act with integrity” even when no one is looking, “get better” every day and “collaborate” with everyone.
What do you do in your recruitment process that you feel differs from other companies?
My team pays particular attention to our candidate’s experience from the first moment they become aware of us, to the point in which we invite the candidate join us or part ways. Freedom believes our reputation is an important part of our employer brand. Our goal is to make sure everyone, who expresses an interest in working with us is reviewed by a recruiter and given a fair consideration. Regardless of the outcome, the candidate serves as a promoter for Freedom with his/hers friends, family and co-workers.
