Axon Careers & Company Culture

What does a good day at work feel like to you? At Axon, we wake up every day with a sense of purpose, to use our tech skills to make the world a better place.

More than a company that manufactures code for the latest trend, we create technology that makes the world safer by empowering those who keep it safe. From cloud-based body cameras to real-time digital information via connected apps, AI, and IOT, our hands are deep in the architecture of everything we create. Some may call us tech nerds. We prefer innovation enthusiasts. Axon promotes individualism and an entrepreneurial spirit in approaching our work, knowing that sometimes we’re at our best when we’re given the ball to run with it. Yet, we all work together as one team by supporting each other and building incredible things when we collaborate. We also know that a good day at work is when your company cares about your personal life as they do your work life.

In a world of technological innovation, Axon promotes a culture of humanism. We understand that we are only part of what is important to you. As we strive for truth, honesty, and safety through technology, we believe that is only possible through transparency. At Axon, we value that a good day is coming home with a deep sense of accomplishment as we do our part to contribute to the greater good. Our workplace is one that embraces diversity, embraces innovation and promotes transparency throughout all levels in the organization. We conduct Axon Connect sessions, wherein senior leaders in the company answer anonymously submitted questions about the current and future state of Axon. We also have a Diversity & Inclusion Committee that works together to promote events and programs that encourage sensitivity, openness and safety among employees.

Why Axon is Admired!

Leadership Excellence: Axon promotes transparency throughout all levels in the organization with monthly Axon Connect sessions, wherein senior leaders in the company answer anonymously submitted questions about the current and future state of Axon. Some members of the senior leadership team, including Axon President Luke Larson, commit to annual office rotations so they can work alongside employees at other levels and in departments which they might not typically interact.

Workplace Culture: Our workplace is one that embraces diversity, embraces innovation and promotes transparency throughout all levels in the organization. We also have a Diversity & Inclusion Committee that works together to promote events and programs that encourage sensitivity, openness and safety among employees.

Social Responsibility: Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Axon launched its #GotYouCovered campaign to help first responders amid theCOVID-19 pandemic. Axon announced a committed to over $1 million for personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders, including a partnership with the National Police Foundation and will match up to $500,000 in community donations. 100 percent of funds will go directly towards helping reduce first responder exposure toCOVID-19 by purchasing medical masks, gloves and hand sanitizer.

Customer Opinion: Our most recent data shows an 88% satisfaction rate with customer support across 249 respondents. Axon is unique in its dedication to customer service as it has a dedicated team of Customer Success Managers (CSMs) who serve as the single point of contact to answer day-to-day questions for our customer base. These folks are in addition to the sales team and exist to make sure our customers needs are being met.

Innovation: Our latest body-worn camera, Axon Body 3, is our first connected body camera with LTE connectivity. This real-time situational awareness technology, called Axon Aware, allows authorized users back at the agency or via the mobile app to view an incident that is happening in the field, in real-time. With Axon Aware, officers are able to use the GPS mapping tool to understand where officers are on a map and recognize whether or not they are safe.

Employees are also encouraged to attend professional development events such as conferences with all expenses paid by Axon. For Axon’s Leadership Development Program, we recruit new graduates from a variety of backgrounds for this two-year program in which they rotate through different functions of the company, lead special projects, and attend learning sessions with leadership. Graduates of this program have taken on crucial leadership roles across the company, including president, vice presidents and product managers.
