Working at Raytheon and the mission that we support is important to me because I come from a military family. Hearing their stories as I was growing up really made me aware of the importance of what we do as a defense contractor to make sure that they stay safe.

When I left the Marine Corps, I did lose that sense of belonging and sense of a greater good. And working here at Raytheon, I really get the opportunity to make a difference and be a part of a team that is impacting our warfighter.

I was part of our Leadership Development Program, which gave me the opportunity to rotate across all of our business units over two years. It was an incredible experience to see the range of technologies and capabilities we offer as a company.

It is a great feeling to know that what we are doing here today is the next level of defense capability... We are furthering that development every day in ways that we can't even comprehend and it's the people that are making all the difference.

When I first joined the company, I was paired with a mentor through an engineering mentorship program. She helped me understand things beyond my immediate role and offered guidance on both technical and interpersonal challenges. Mentorship is a key part of growing and progressing in your career.

The kind of work that we do at Raytheon is very impactful and I feel very proud of it. We have voice of the war fighter, where our military personnel come in and speak to us about our impact and why what we do matters. It's been really great to hear about situations where our products have been able to keep people safe.
