New Life Center
New Life Center is one of Arizona’s largest domestic violence shelters, providing safe housing, crisis support, and long-term services for individuals and families escaping abuse. Based in the West Valley, the organization serves thousands of survivors each year through emergency shelter, legal advocacy, trauma-informed counseling, and programs focused on financial independence and long-term stability.
About New Life Center
We envision a society where every human feels safe, valued, and respected, allowing them to live the fullest life possible. That’s why it’s our mission to ensure safe, stable communities by preventing and responding to domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.
We offer compassionate trauma-informed, survivor-led care to all who are impacted by violence, including survivors and their families. At the same time, we focus on community-wide violence prevention and education to build a safer, healthier Arizona.
How We Help
Emergency Shelter
New Life Center’s 110 bed shelter provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed care model to support families in starting independent lives. Our emergency shelter program fulfills residents’ basic needs and provides the necessary resources for them to begin to thrive in their new lives, free of domestic and sexual violence.
Teen Dating Violence Prevention Training
We provide dating violence prevention training to middle school and high school students all over Maricopa County through Kaity’s Way. Our evidence-based curriculum and interactive workshops use captivating films, peer-to-peer discussions, and immersive activities to start meaningful conversations about healthy and unhealthy relationships, teaching students to practice healthy behaviors, recognize harmful signs, and access resources when in need.
Survivor Support Services
New Life Center creates customized support plans for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking by assessing their individual needs. Our services look different for every person, and we never make assumptions about what someone may or may not need to find healing and stability. Survivors, either at our emergency shelter or in a safe living situation, are able to access trained and dedicated staff who assist with advocacy and case management, trauma treatment, group and individual therapy, child care, and much more.
Sunshine Healing Services
We have a stand alone sexual violence healing center for survivors, where they can find a sense of safety and community with other survivors. Services at the Sunshine Healing center are available to anyone who has experienced sexual violence, including both primary and secondary victims. We know that healing is a journey; therefore, we offer services throughout the survivor’s lifespan. Reports to law enforcement are not required in order to obtain services.
