Business Ethics Awards
Better Business Bureau of Central, Northern and Western Arizona recognizes 15 local businesses for their commitment to ethics and customer service plus their business practices and related activities exemplify the BBB's mission and principles, to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honorable.
These awards consist of an annual program to gain public recognition for businesses that maintain a solid commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical fashion. Companies of different sizes are selected by an independent panel of community leaders in accordance to criteria established by the Council of Better Business Bureau International Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Winners may also be submitted for an International Torch Award.
Area to be considered in judging criteria include:
- Management Practices
- Customer/Vendor/Supplier/Shareholder Relations
- Marketing/Advertising/Communications/Sales Practices
- Reputation within Industry and Community
Minimum Entry Criteria:
An applicant:
- must have been in business for at least three years;
- must not have an unsatisfactory record with the BBB;
- must have a physical presence in the BBB of Central, Northern, Western AZ's service area.
The five Business Ethics Award categories are:
*Each category has three Finalists, one of which is named a winner.
- Category I (1 - 10 employees)
- Category II (11 - 20 employees)
- Category III (21-50 employees)
- Category IV (51-150 employees)
- Category V (151 + employees)
There is a winner in each of the 5 categories. We do publish the 15 finalists after the judging concludes. Then at the awards, we honor all finalists and announce the winner in each category.
